Getzen offers six different instrument finishes that appeal to a wide range of musicians. From the more common clear lacquer or bright silver plate to the very unique beaded 24K gold, there is a finish available that reflects the individual style of every player.
Not all finishes are offered on all models. Check individual model options to determine availability.
Clear
Lacquer
Clear lacquer is the most economical of all finish options. The durable
finish protects the brass from tarnishing while allowing the natural
beauty of the metals to shine through.
Bright
Silver Plate
Bright silver plate is a very popular finish with most musicians. It
provides a bright, uniform finish to the instrument while protecting
the brass from tarnishing. Silver can become tarnished over time however
and requires occasional cleaning or polishing to maintain its bright
shine.
24K
Gold Plate
Gold plate is popular with musicians that desire something extra from
the finish of their instrument. Like silver plate, it protects the brass
from tarnishing, but will require occasional cleaning or polishing to
maintain its luster and shine.
Beaded
Lacquer
Beaded lacquer finish offers the same great qualities as regular clear
lacquer. However, it provides a more unique appearance by giving the
instrument a uniform satin appearance.
Beaded
Silver Plate
Beaded silver plate provides the same protection from tarnish found with
bright silver plate. However, the instrument will have a uniform satin
finish. While it will require occasional cleaning, polishing is not recommended
as it will diminish the satin appearance.
Beaded
24K Gold Plate
Beaded 24K gold plate is the most unique finish offered on Getzen instruments.
The finish has all of the benefits of regular gold plating, but the combination
of the beading process and 24K gold plate creates a special one of a
kind satin finish like nothing else offered.
